All Sheen Group locations use BASF Glasurit paints - a waterborne paint which is a more environmentally friendly process of painting vehicles.
That's because Glasurit paint has a significantly lower concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
When VOCs are released into the atmosphere, they combine with nitrogen oxides to form ground level ozone air pollution such as smog. This also causes eye and skin irritations and adverse respiratory health effects like asthma and bronchitis.
Through its exclusive use of using Glasurit paint, Sheen has significantly reduced its VOC emissions - so our environmental impact is much lower than panel beaters who use solvent basecoat.
Water-saving measures and runoff filtering
Our 25 panel beating locations all actively participate in water saving initiatives. And when you wash as many cars as we do, that means thousands of litres saved every week.
All locations have built-in water tanks, allowing cars to be washed down with recycled water.
Our wash bays also have inbuilt triple interceptors and silt traps to ensure absolutely no oil, metals, and harmful chemicals make it back into the sewer system.
All Sheen workshops also use Bax Window Cleaning Services for their impeccable cleaning standards and environmentally friendly approach. Bax Windows use recycled water and biodegradable soaps, as well as operating a paper-free workplace.
