Sheen community fund
Our commitment to giving back to our community
Over the last 34 years, we’ve supported various charities across different groups with an aim to promote happier, healthier, and safer communities. This year, our vision is to raise funds and awareness for the charities below via our foundation, the Sheen Community Fund.
- Variety, the Children’s Charity, supports children who are sick, living with disabilities, or experiencing disadvantage
- Friend in Me promotes an inclusive and safe environment for children where they can build friendships and feel accepted
Exceeding our $5 million milestone
In 2022, the Sheen Community Fund reached a momentous milestone of $5 million in charitable funds. Our next goal is to fund much-needed assistance for our partner charities by:
- Sponsoring Friend in Me’s Community Day, where our aim is for 5,000 kids to attend the all-inclusive event
- Funding assistance dogs for children with disabilities
- Supporting Variety’s fundraising events, including Eat Street, the AFL Grand Final Lunch, and Women of Melbourne

How the fund works
The Sheen Community Fund is housed within the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation. Our ongoing commitment to supporting young people in less fortunate circumstances continues to be our primary focus. You can help us achieve our mission, which is outlined below:
- Give to the Sheen Community Fund with a tax-deductible donation
- Grow the fund balance with contributions and income accrued
- Grant to our partner charities
